Why in God's name (and I'm not Christian) did it have to be Japanese culture that was sooooo brutally perverted by the youth of American in the form of cosplay and anime? Why is it that when i type in "martial arts" or "katana" or any other term along those lines onto this site's search engine, all i get is a bunch of Hakujin baka-chin wielding a bunch of 440 stainless steel fake swords. I will concede that a few of the pics on this site are actually very artistic and the sword is only a background prop, where others, the one's I am ranting about, the sword is the centerpiece and the wielder is only too happy to hold a piece of metal in their hands.

Why did the most sacred and valued possession of the samurai become a toy for Anime Convention frequenter with a bit extra cash.

Why...someone please explain to me why. BTW, i'm not racist, my roommate will attest to this...i just don't understand why it seems that most of America's Convention frequenters lack any of their own national pride and seek to take on Japan's as their own.

GO TAKE AN ETHNIC STUDIES CLASS AND LEARN THE SUCCESSES OF YOUR OWN NATIONALITY AND THEN GET BACK TO ME.
